A SERIES of management changes, including the appointment of a deputy chief executive, was announced yesterday by the Halifax Building Society as it prepares to convert to a bank next year.

"The changes will create a structure in line with the new approach to planning and managing the group," said the society.

One of the key moves is the appointment of Mr Gren Folwell as deputy to chief executive Mr Mike Blackburn.
