Taxpayers can check their tax status via a new Internet based consultancy service. From Monday next, the Telecom Internet TaxMate (www.tinet.ie) will allow PAYE workers to calculate their taxes and receive details of their liabilities for 1997/1998, on submission of an RSI number and other details. A facsimile form - Form 12 - can be printed off, and submitted by post to the local tax office.
