Students hoping to pursue careers in healthcare will have the opportunity to sample more than 85 postgraduate taught and research programmes and opportunities at the annual Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Postgraduate Open Day in Dublin this week.

Research areas including surgery, leadership, nursing, physician associate studies and healthcare will be among the courses exhibited at the College at 123 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2 on Friday 3rd March 2017 from 14:30 until 18:30.

The RCSI School of Postgraduate Studies says it will bring together leaders in healthcare and research to present potential students with a variety of postgraduate opportunities, from masters to PhD level and beyond.

Professor Niamh Moran, Head of School of Postgraduate Studies, RCSI said “As the challenges facing healthcare professionals grow, from therapies to technology, it’s vital that new ideas and insights come to the fore. Postgraduate students who want to excel in the healthcare industries will have access to some of the best thinkers and practitioners within RCSI, as well as a world-class learning environment and this can give students a real edge in their career.”

“The depth and diversity of the RCSI postgraduate offering means students not only have access to world-class taught and self-directed programs but also to our network, which includes some of the leading voices and minds in numerous fields from medicine to tissue engineering,” she added.
