The Yugoslavia Football Union has called on all its foreign-based players and coaches to boycott their teams because of NATO air strikes launched against their homeland over the Kosovo crisis.

The union told the players to "boycott their teams in NATO member countries during the aggression of NATO forces against Yugoslavia."

At least two Yugoslavia internationals play in England - Charlton's Sasa Ilic and Crystal Palace's Sasa Curcic.

The union said it acted on the proposal of three top players - Dragan Stojkovic of Japanese outfit Nagoya, Dejan Savicevic (Red Star Belgrade) and Real Madrid's Predrag Mijatovic.
