Kerry have named an unchanged team to face Dublin in Saturday's All-Ireland quarter-final replay in Thurles, so Maurice Fitzgerald stays on the bench.
Pβidi ╙ SΘ and his selectors last night gave the go-ahead to the same 15 as drew last week's tumultuous match at the same venue. This means Michael McCarthy and Noel Kennelly have shrugged off the injuries that had threatened their participation earlier in the week. McCarthy was replaced by Mike Hassett in the second half whereas Kennelly gave way to Denis Dwyer at half-time.
The impact of last weekend's equaliser and the injury to Kennelly had created a clamour for Fitzgerald's inclusion in the starting line-up.
Saturday's match will see the football championships reach a landmark in Semple Stadium when the 1,000,000-attendance barrier for the season will be broken. Already, 963,647 fans have watched the 58 games since the campaign began on May 6th and with over 50,000 expected in Thurles, seven figures for the season is guaranteed
This attendance record comes only a couple of years since the seven-figure total was reached for the first time in a season. Now, thanks to the new qualifier rounds, the figure has come up with at least four matches to go.
To mark the occasion, a lucky fan will be randomly selected and will win a VIP trip for the weekend of All-Ireland final at Croke Park on September 23, courtesy of the Bank of Ireland.
