Sunderland boss Roy Keane has snapped up teenage Wales defender Lewin Nyatanga on loan.

The 18-year-old has joined the Black Cats from Derby until January and could go straight into the squad for Saturday's Championship clash against Barnsley at the Riverside Stadium.

Nyatanga has made just six appearances for the Rams this season, but played for his country in the recent Euro 2008 qualifiers against Slovakia and Cyrpus.
