Steven Gerrard will join Jamie Carragher on the sidelines tomorrow as Liverpool bid to reach the Champions League group stages.

Liverpool's skipper is still recovering from the hairline toe fracture that kept him out for England last week and at Sunderland on Saturday.

Carragher, with a broken rib and collapsed lung which meant he spent last night in hospital, is also out of the third qualifying round second leg tie at home to Toulouse, with Liverpool holding a 1-0 lead from the first match.

But manager Rafael Benitez believes defender Sami Hyypia will play against the French side despite the broken nose he received at the Stadium of Light at the weekend.
