FOOTBALL: Leitrim v Longford- NOT EXACTLY a game for the ages. Leitrim were knocked out of Connacht by Roscommon, who were then thrashed by Mayo, while Longford fell to Wicklow who were toppled by Westmeath, who went on to lose by 27 points to Dublin.
Mickey Moran is one of the most interesting characters in the GAA, but he has been quiet of late.
Maybe he will spark a revolution in Leitrim, but the smart money points to Brian Kavanagh’s scoring ability guiding Longford into tomorrow night’s second round draw.
