Shalazar bids to continue his progression through the ranks in the O'Donnell Handicap at Wexford today and the chestnut can prove something of a banker for those pursuing the Jackpot.

John Hayden's three-year-old was in retrospect some sort of certainty when he ran in a claimer at Killarney last month and that point was reinforced when he made most of the running to beat Say Wonderful.

Hayden nominated the listed Oyster Stakes at Galway's September fixture as a target for Shalazar and if that's a realistic proposition, then he should be capable of carrying topweight and still beating the most likely danger Cincuenta.

Francis Flood's Dramatic Dame easily won a mares bumper here last month and before that had been runner-up to Inishargy in a hurdle at Tipperary.
