Bernard O'Byrne, the FAI's chief executive, said yesterday that after renewed assurances from the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Turkish FA they are proceeding as scheduled with plans for the second leg of the play-off at Bursa next Wednesday.

The western region of Turkey was struck by another massive earthquake, measuring 7.2 on the richter scale, yesterday. The epicentre was at Duzce, some 115 miles east of Istanbul.
