The French Cycling Federation have suspended former Festina team boss Bruno Roussel and team masseur Willy Voet from any domestic involvement in the sport following the drugs scandal in the Tour de France.
The federation banned Roussel, who admitted to systematic and organised doping within the Festina team after being arrested by police in July, for "encouraging and allowing the usage of performance-enhancing drugs" within the then number one team in world cycling.
Voet, whose arrest before the Tour de France while driving a team car that contained a huge quantity of doping products started the scandal, received a three-year ban.
Roussel said that he refused to accept the authority of the federation. The federation will send their findings and the resulting punishments to the International Cycling Union (UCI), the sport's world governing body, who are expected to make the ban worldwide.
