Clonmel struck after 25 minutes when Glen Conway's drive easily beat Rockmount goalkeeper Packie Cassidy. Jason Lynch headed home to leave the sides level at the break.

It was all Clonmel on the resumption and after 61 minutes Aaron Moroney unleashed an unstoppable 25 yard free kick. Moroney secured the win after 74 minutes.
