DEAN RICHARDS, who has been a pivotal figure in England's rugby union campaigns in the 199Os, has retired from his job as a police sergeant to concentrate full-time on his rugby career with Leicester and England.
Meanwhile, in Wales, Cardiff RFC chief executive Gareth Davies has criticised the money-go-round in the sport which threatens to bankrupt those unable to find a benefactor or major sponsor.
"It's crazy what's going on at the moment," said Davies. "We need to put caps on the amounts of money that can be paid in wages and transfers.
