The Turf Club's Appeals and Referrals Committee yesterday accepted trainer Edward O'Grady's explanation for the running and riding of Ballydonnelly in a bumper at Killarney on July 16th.
Ballydonnelly finished second in the race but an inquiry into his running and riding had to be referred as O'Grady had left the racecourse. Yesterday O'Grady was cautioned regarding his responsibility to remain available until the "winner all right" has been announced.
The committee also imposed a £500 fine on trainer Pat Kelly for breaching Rule 149 at Killarney on July 15th.
