Bray Wanderers 1 Galway United 1: Bray and Galway United are still not out of the relegation zone after earning a point apiece in last night's tense Premier Division clash at the Carlisle Grounds.

First-half penalties by Bray's Alan Cawley and Galway's Stephen O'Flynn mean both sides still have all to play for in their final three games of the season.

Derek Glynn went close early on for Galway but Bray were quick to reply when Patrick Kavanagh's effort was cleared off the line by Wesley Charles.

The Seagulls then suffered setbacks when midfielders Mark Duggan and Paul Caffrey had to be substituted in the first half because of injuries. But they still broke the deadlock on 33 minutes.

Galway goalkeeper Gary Rogers fouled striker Paul Dunphy and Cawley made no mistake with the penalty. The visitors equalised after 40 minutes. Bray defender Ray Kenny hauled down John Lester 12 yards from goal and O'Flynn duly fired home the resulting spot-kick.

Galway's and Glynn and Lester went close to grabbing a second goal after the break for the visitors but in the end both sides had to settle for a point.
