EUROPEAN SENIORS: South Africa's Bobby Lincoln won for the first time on the European Seniors Tour when he closed with a fine five-under-par 67 to win the Jersey Seniors Classic at La Moye Golf Club.

The 53-year-old from Johannesburg posted rounds of 71, 67 and 67 for an 11-under-par aggregate of 207 and a two-shot victory over Scotland's Bill Longmuir.

England's Bob Cameron dropped two shots at the 390-yard 18th hole to fall into a share of third place with Australia's David Good, Scotland's Sam Torrance and compatriots Gordon J Brand and Carl Mason.

Denis O'Sullivan closed with a 72 to finish as best of the Irish on three over and in a share of 28th. That was worth €1,599.

Lincoln started the day tied for the lead with Longmuir and Mason but fired seven birdies and two bogeys to wrap up victory and a winner's cheque for €39,943.

US CHAMPIONS TOUR: Jay Haas shot a closing two-under-par 69 for a three-shot victory in the Principal Charity Classic at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa. He could even afford to bogey his last two holes to hold off RW Eaks, who shot a seven-under 64, and Brad Bryant (67).

Mark McNulty finished on three under after a 69.

US LPGA TOUR: Surprise package Na On Min, who had stunned the game's big names by charging one shot clear in the LPGA Championship after Saturday's third round, continued to hold her own in the final-day showdown at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Maryland.

The diminutive 18-year-old South Korean, making her major championship debut in only her sixth event as a professional, held a one-shot lead on 11 under par from Sweden's Suzann Pettersen through six holes last night.

LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR: Gwladys Nocera of France claimed her fourth European Tour title with a comprehensive, seven-stroke victory at the KLM Open in Holland.

Having set a course record eight-under-par 64 in the first round, the 32-year-old from Moulins carded a two-under-par 70 in the second round and closed with a five-under 67.

She finished on a total of 15 under par at Eindhovensche Golf to finish seven shots clear of her compatriot Virginie Lagoutte-Clement, who had a 69.

England's Georgina Simpson was third on seven-under-par after a 73.

Nocera became the seventh French winner of the event and the third consecutive French winner.

Rebecca Coakley shot a closing 71 to finish on one under in a share for 25th, to earn €2,100.

Claire Coughlan was two shots further back to collect €1,200.

EUROPEAN CHALLENGE TOUR: Joost Luiten produced the lowest final round by a winner in Challenge Tour history, a breathtaking 11-under-par 61, to win the Vodafone Challenge and move to within a whisker of Challenge Tour Number One Edoardo Molinari at the top of the Rankings.

The Flying Dutchman was unstoppable at the Golf and Country Club An der Elfrather Muhle in Dusseldorf as he tore through the field with that stunning final round effort that took him to 18-under-par 260 and left his closest challengers trailing.

AMATEUR: Veteran Gary Wolstenholme cruised to a nine-stroke victory to retain his title in the European Mid Amateur Championships in Switzerland.

The Englishman shot a final round 72 to finish on 213, ahead of Germany's Ulrich Schutte.

Best of the Irish was Cork's Karl Bornemann, who finished tied for 11th on 226.
