KILKENNY upset the odds when they recorded a single point win over Kildare in this Leinster JFC first round replay at Newbridge last night.
The winners dominated the low scoring game from start to finish and never allowed Kildare to take the lead.
Liam Kenny opened their account at the end of the first quarter and they led by 0-3 to 0-1 at half time.
They extended their advantage on the restart and held out to win in spite of an improved Kildare performance in the second half.
