KILKENNY OFFICIALS are awaiting the contents of referee Anthony Stapleton’s match report before deciding whether or not to appeal Eddie Brennan’s sending-off in last Sunday’s fiery National Hurling League clash against Waterford.
Forward Brennan was sent off for his part in the controversial clash which could land Waterford defender Declan Prendergast with an eight-week suspension for striking out at his opponent.
Brennan faces a minimum four-week suspension for the straight red card he received from referee Stapleton but the feeling within Kilkenny is that the GraigueBallycallan Allstar has been hard done by.
