It was mostly one-way traffic at Navan as Kells proved too strong for their Drogheda opponents, who were making their competition debut.
Tries in the opening 10 minutes from Aidan McEntee and David Callaghan set the trend. Oliver Smyth touched down twice and in between Callaghan grabbed his second try.
Simon Donnelly kicked two conversions and Kells had 29 points on the scoresheet at the break. Alan Hickey completed the scoring with the sixth try three minutes after the restart and although St Oliver's got close to the Kells line on a few occasions, they were denied a consolation score.
