Connacht Colleges SF A Quarter-finals:St Jarlath's College of Tuam powered their way to an emphatic 2-14 to 0-6 victory over a very disappointing Summerhill College Sligo at Ballintubber yesterday.

A goal by full forward David Shallow less than a minute before halftime set the Galway boys up for a 1-7 to 0-0 interval lead.

The game ended as a contest when Michael Kelly scored the Tuam side's second goal in the 49th minute.

In Clogher, goals from Dean Gavin, Jason Doherty and Philip Keehan earned Rice College Westport a comfortable 3-10 to 0-7 win over St Gerald's of Castlebar.

The Westport side led at half-time by 1-4 to three points and a miserable day for St Gerald's was compounded with the dismissal of Donal Newcombe and a missed penalty by Rory Martyn.

Rice College will play St Colman's in the Connacht semi-final after the Claremorris side recorded a 1-13 to 0-8 win over St Attracta's of Tubbercurry in Charlestown yesterday.

St Jarlath's will have to wait to see who they will face in their Connacht semi-final as the St Muredach's versus St Mary's (Galway) quarter-final, also scheduled for the weekend, was postponed.
