Limerick 0-22 UCC 1-17

Four late points earned Limerick a place in the Waterford Crystal Cup final after a 40-score semi-final win over a UCC side that finished with 14 men as they had used their full panel of substitutes.

Limerick led 0-10 to 0-7 but points by Rob O’Shea, Daniel Roche and Conor Lehane tied it up within five minutes. Lehane finished with six points, three from play.

The sides were level on ten occasions but when substitute DJ Foran bagged the only goal to edge UCC in front 1-16 to 0-18 with five minutes remaining they looked set for victory.

But Limerick finished strongly and late points by Shane Dowling, James Ryan, Pat Begley and the lively Adrian Breen sealed their win.
