OFFALY SFC FINAL: Edenderry 0-9 Clara 0-8:EDENDERRY PULLED off a big shock by defeating hot-favourites Clara in Tullamore yesterday.
With Richie Dalton and Derek Kelly dominating midfield, Edenderry led by 0-5 to 0-2 after 23 minutes. But three Thomas Deehan points sent Clara in level at the break, 0-5 each.
A Deehan free edged Clara in front. Mark Young blasted a 46th-minute penalty over the bar but Edenderry still led 0-9 to 0-6 with 10 minutes left. Clara reduced arrears to a point but Edenderry held their nerve in a tense finale.
