Joe Durant rallied to win his second PGA title in 14 days, firing a final round seven under par 65 in Miami yesterday to capture the Genuity Championship by two strokes over Canada's Mike Weir.

Rallying from four strokes behind when the day began, Durant finished at 18-under par 270.

Durant's first title of the year came two weeks ago at the fiveround Bob Hope Classic when he fired a 61 in the second round and set a 90-hole PGA scoring record.

With thunderstorms expected in the afternoon, the final round began on two tees at 7:30 in the morning.

With Weir waiting to tee off, Durant opened with an eagle at the par-5 first hole. As Weir stumbled to a final-round 71, Durant added six birdies between intermittent rain drops on the way to his third career title.
