DUBLIN HELD off a late challenge by Offaly to win the Walsh Shield, 1-20 to 2-15, at Banagher yesterday.
With just three minutes to go – and the visitors ahead by four after a point by Alan McCrabbe – Offaly brought it back to the minimum when Brendan Murphy sent a powerful shot to the net for Offaly’s second goal.
Dublin, however, held their nerve in the final moments to claim the shield.
