KERRY SFC QUARTER-FINALS:KIERAN O'LEARY'S late point helped champions Dr Crokes see off an Austin Stacks fightback by 1-14 to 1-13 in their high-octane SFC quarter-final at Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney.
Dr Crokes will play West Kerry in the semi-final on Saturday next after the latter proved too strong for a below-par Kerins O’Rahillys side, winning 1-10 to 0-8.
Alan Fitzgerald grabbed the only goal of the game in the 47th minute.
Mid Kerry served notice that they will make a bold bid to repeat their 2008 county championship win when they defeated Rathmore, who had Tom O’Sullivan and Aidan O’Mahony in their ranks, 0-15 to 0-7.
