VINNIE MURRAY SENIOR CUP: CUS 17 Wesley College 10
CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY School qualified for the Powerade Vinnie Murray Senior Cup final for the first time when replacement Josh Fallon-Doran sprinted away for the decisive try against Wesley at Stradbrook yesterday.
The Leeson Street school always managed to stay one step ahead of Wesley, getting the opening try from their centre David Beakey and striking again on half-time through prop Tadhg Doyle for wing Colm Driver to convert for a 12-3 lead.
Wesley needed a quick score and number eight Josh van der Flier broke for the line and centre Greg Hawe converted to make it a tight squeeze until Fallon-Doran struck in the 56th minute.
