Davey paves way for Sligo

Sligo 1-9 Sligo IT 0-6: JOHNNY DAVEY'S second-half goal paved the way for Sligo's hard earned six-point win over Sligo IT at Enniscrone yesterday.

A clever ball from midfielder Eugene Mullen was finished to the net by Davey in the 46th minute to put the county three points ahead.

Sligo opened the first half scoring from a David Maye free after two minutes and they were two in front when Daniel Maye raised the IT’s first flag after nine minutes. IT had reduced the deficit to the minimum after 43 minutes with two points coming from Adrian Croal.
