BOTTOM weight Hail to Home trained outside Athenry by Martin Cullinane took the 20-runner Tarbert handicap hurdle at a well attended Listowel on Saturday.

Supported from 16-1 to 6-1 in the ring the four-year-old was prominent throughout under Trevor Horgan before stretching clear on the turn-in to score in comprehensive fashion, by four lengths.

Cull inane was surprised afterwards with the significant market support and added "I thought she would need a longer trip and I certainly did not back her today."

Timbucktoo opened his account over fences when landing the Ballybunion EBF beginners chase by a snug half a length under rider in form Conor O'Dwyer.

The 4-6 favourite was not fluent with his jumping throughout the contest and the partnership was lucky to stay intact after hitting the fifth last very hard.

Winning trainer, John Berry, said: "We will go for a winners race at Limerick on St Patrick's weekend and hopefully will go onto Fairyhouse over the Easter Festival.

"Flip your Lid trained by Brendan O'Grady just held on under Brendan Sheridan to land the second division of the Ring of Kerry Maiden Hurdle from the fast finishing Renny who made a costly error at the final flight.

The winner was providing Maynooth business man Tony Barrett with his first winner under rules.
