Scotland last night reverted to two old hands to plug the gaps against England on Saturday as they welcomed back Craig Chalmers and Andy Reed to the fold for the Calcutta Cup clash at Twickenham.

Head coach Jim Telfer recalled Scotland's most capped Test standoff Chalmers and veteran Wasps lock Reed to replace broken leg victims Duncan Hodge and Doddie Weir.
