Borussia Dortmund striker Jan Koller proved a handful for the Canadian defence, creating several good chances before being fouled in the penalty area in the 26th minute. Udinese midfielder Marek Jankulovski converted the penalty.
Marek Heinz made it 2-0 in the 49th minute before Poborsky scored his seventh international goal in the 55th minute.
He then gave way to substitute Libor Sionko, who quickly put his mark on the match with a goal in the 63rd minute.

ITALY v ROMANIA: A well taken second-half goal from Marco Di Vaio gave Italy a 1-0 win over Romania in Ancona last night.
Francesco Totti lofted a ball over the Romanian defence and Di Vaio took it first time to beat Romania keeper Bogdan Lobont in the 58th minute. The result was positive for Italy, who had lost 3-1 to Poland on Wednesday.
