AIRTRICITY LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION: Dundalk 0 Bray Wanderers 2A BRACE OF penalties from Jason Byrne secured all three points for Bray Wanderers against Dundalk at Oriel Park last night.

An attendance of around 500 saw Pat Devlin’s men have the better of a quiet first half with Dave Webster testing Peter Cherrie with a 20-yard free-kick before the ever-alert Jason Byrne flicked a header just wide of the target.

The Seagulls hit the front in the 40th minute when Byrne sent Cherrie the wrong way from the penalty spot after Derek Foran had sent Kieran Waters tumbling inside the area.

Bray opened the second half brightly with Byrne again testing Cherrie with a long-range free before Danny O’Connor had a headed effort ruled out for offside in the 56th minute.
