Martell Grand National winner Bobbyjo is set to run at Fairyhouse on Sunday. The Tommy Carberry-trained gelding had an alternative engagement at Naas the previous day but will run instead in the Sutherland River Handicap Hurdle.
Carberry's wife Pamela said yesterday: "It looks like he's going on Sunday. He's great at the moment. He was meant to run last week but the going was too bad so he schooled over fences."
The 10-year-old, 14 to 1 second favourite for the National with Ladbrokes, has yet to jump a fence in public this season having finished ninth on his reappearance over hurdles at Fairyhouse last month.
Apprentice Dean Mernagh received a 14-day suspension for riding a finish a circuit too early on the Brian Rothwell-trained St Lawrence, the 4 to 5 favourite in division one of the Bet Direct From Littlewoods Handicap.
