AIB LEAGUE DIVISION TWO SEMI-FINAL:Ballynahinch 29 Landsdowne 13
BALLYNAHINCH GO marching on! With the AIB Cup, as well as the Ulster Senior League and Senior Cup trophies at Ballymacarn Park, they have now reached the final of the All-Ireland League Division Two.
This victory was revenge for the earlier season defeat in the AIL and fully deserved by a confident team who now face UCC in the final at Limerick on Saturday. This should be a intriguing encounter as UCC also had a comfortable victory against the Co Down side.
Lansdowne failed to make full use of the strong wind in the first period and turned round 14-8 down. Gregg Stafford scored their try, while Karl Oosterhuizen kicked a penalty. Ryan Banbry converted tries from Robert Greer and Neil Hanna.
Lansdowne fought back with a Ross McCarron try but Hinch had the better of the later stages when Banbry had a penalty and his cross-kick allowed Neville to touch down. Johnny Cullen scored with the final move for Banbry to add the points.
