Held up in touch by Philip Robinson, he cruised through over one furlong out and producing a fine turn of finishing speed to win in the easiest possible fashion by three lengths from Luz Bay.
That win may have been just the tonic Anemos needed and he is awarded the nap to defy the steadier of 10st tomorrow.
The "Showcase" handicap, the Tote Credit Club Stakes, can go to the maiden Cooper Island.
