What to do with Central Bank?

Sir, – The Central Bank is a fine building but is out of place in Temple Bar (Front Page, July 2nd)

Sir, – The Central Bank is a fine building but is out of place in Temple Bar (Front Page, July 2nd). Could some consideration be given to knocking it down? A square would be a better addition to the city centre than reusing the building for the public good. Temple Bar and the surrounding area could also be spruced up.

Dublin relies on tourists for an important part of its income. Walking around College Green and Temple Bar, it is apparent that precious little public money has been spent since the 1990s. A Diarmuid Gavin plaza, perhaps? That I would fly home to see. His sky garden was incredible at Chelsea. – Yours, etc,
