Service with a smile at Heuston Station
Sir, – As I read Conor Pope’s article on declining customer service over coffee on Monday morning, I received two calls. Both were from an employee (John) in Heuston Station, the first call telling me he had tracked down the train on which I had carelessly left my briefcase 15 minutes beforehand, the second call (just 10 minutes later) telling me the item had been located by staff and would be returned as soon as possible to Heuston.
I gratefully collected the item from the station some time later.
