Sir, – The Service of Reconciliation and Hope in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh, was a most inspiring initiative by the main Christian churches.
Congratulations are due to the church leaders who spoke at and organised this service, as well as all the other inspiring people who took part in this act of worship.
This event recognised both the immense hurt caused to so many people by the events of the past hundred years, and all the hard work done over so many years by so many to try to heal divisions on this island.
Most importantly, it delivered a strong message of encouragement and hope to us all.
