A chara, - We have surely learned by now that we cannot afford to tolerate expressions of sectarian hatred, whether in Windsor Park, or Lansdowne Road, or anywhere at all in this island.

There is a simple method of dealing with this problem on sporting occasions if we are in earnest (better even than magisterial editorials in The Irish Times). We must show that we do not tolerate sectarianism by suspending play, postponing or cancelling matches, and withdrawing from competitions. - Is mise,
