Sir, - In the course of an interview on RTE's lunchtime news, Mr Burroughs of the Portadown Orange Order indicated that they would continue to try dialogue to defuse the situation.
However, when pressed, he stated that they would only talk to "bona fide people". Upon extrapolation, this excluded Sinn Fein, the IRA, the Garvaghy Road Residents Association and Brid Rodgers of the SDLP because she had been unkind towards the Orange Order in the past.
