Sir, - When the princes of the Catholic Church in Ireland knowingly behave as a group in the appalling and unscrupulous manner - as documented in Father McGinnity's statement (The Irish Times, July 27th) - isn't it blessed and wonderful that there still are decent committed priests and good people all around?
All this was going on when our splendid President McAleese was devoured for the loving, caring gesture of taking Holy Communion in another church. - Yours, etc.,
