Sir, – What a stunning photograph by Nick Bradshaw of the escaped mandarin duck which you published on the front page of November 16th.
I recall several other wonderful photographs which you published; the deer in the Phoenix Park, the kingfisher on the Dodder, the murmuration of starlings at Lough Ennell to name a few.
Congratulations to all the photographers involved for taking such memorable photographs. Thank you to the photo editor and The Irish Times for publishing them.
They give great joy, lift the spirits and take our minds (if only briefly) off the terrible Covid numbers. Well done to all.
