Sir, - Sean Moran's article on GAA players and drugs (August 15th) was the most balanced and informative I have read on the subject to date. GAA players are no different from the vast majority of Irish athletes in other sports, who are subject to drug-testing.
Most runners, swimmers, cyclists and boxers are also amateurs who work and study as well as pursuing a sporting dream. - Yours, etc.,
