Sir, - I read with interest Brother Edmund Garvey's defence of the Christian Brothers' position regarding recent controversies (January 3rd). Perhaps it would be wise for the good Brother to bear in mind the words of the New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd: "Wooing the press is an exercise roughly akin to picnicking with a tiger.
