Sir, – Micheál Martin is quoted as saying “Fianna Fáil’s established policy on Sinn Féin is that it is unfit for government in Dublin” (“Fianna Fáil TDs told to stop talking about coalition with SF”, News, December 9th).

Does he think that Fianna Fáil, the party which brought our country to its knees, is fit for government in Dublin? – Yours, etc,
