Aung San Suu Kyi and Rohingya crisis

Sir, – Much has been made by many in liberal circles about asking for Aung San Suu Kyi to hand back her Nobel Peace Prize or to have it withdrawn. There are many who could be asked to do the same, such as Barack Obama and Henry Kissinger and even Jimmy Carter, whose administration armed the Taliban six months before the Soviet invasion. But I would like to ask Amnesty International to disown her and remove her name from the list of those who received their Ambassador of Conscience Award. – Yours, etc,

GEARÓID Ó LOINGSIGH,
