Brendan Balfe was a voice that always caught my attention

Sir, – I was delighted to read the article on Brendan Balfe in your Weekend edition (“Former RTÉ broadcaster Brendan Balfe: ‘I haven’t listened to Radio 1 for a long time’”, People, July 5th).

He was a joy to listen to and a voice that always caught my attention. He is sorely missed along with other great voices from RTÉ Radio.
