Sir, – We were interested to read Henrietta McKervey’s feature about the Fighting Words project in The Irish Times (Magazine, April 22nd), and pleased to note that Alan Compton’s evocative photographs include two taken at Whitehead Railway Museum.
Carriage 91, which featured in the photoshoot as an image of a Ukrainian refugee train, is a coach built in 1934 from the North Atlantic Express, which ran from Belfast to Portrush for many years.
Visitors can stroll through the carriage, which is one of the exhibits at our museum. Whitehead Railway Museum is open to the public every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. – Yours, etc,
LISA ADAIR,
