The condition of a young Armagh man injured when struck by an RUC Land Rover during violence in the Ogle Street area of the city on the night of July 11th is reported to be improving.

Mr Martin Connolly (19), of Drumcoote Road, was critically ill on a life support machine in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. An RUC spokesman said that investigations into the accident, supervised by the Independent Commission for Police Complaints, is continuing.
