Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a woman's body in Galway this afternoon.
The body of the woman in her 60s was found in a disused cottage near her home in Salthill shortly after midday. A post mortem will be carried out in Universite College Hospital later today .
A Garda spokeswoman said officers were carrying out a routine investigation, adding: "There is nothing to suggest this is suspicious at this stage."
