A 19-year-old Co Donegal woman died of meningitis yesterday in Letterkenny General Hospital.
The North-Western Health Board confirmed that the woman, who came from east Co Donegal, died from a strain of the disease.
She was admitted to the hospital earlier this week and was receiving around-the-clock care in an isolation unit.
